A House Outside of the Box

As I said, most of us in China live in box houses. We visited a friend’s real house in the countryside. The car was moving along a road lined with trees. While we were wondering where to stop, we were stopped by this guy. And our friend’s gated & guarded house happened to be right there on the road side. The house backs onto a golf course. Freshly cooked food, 15-year-old red wine, smooth coffee, surrounding music... Awesome everything– inside the house and around, particularly it’s hosts.

The air is so thick and heavy. Otherwise you think you are back in Canada or somewhere else.
