Chinese Gold Fish

We had very unpleasant experience keeping gold fish. I cannot remember how many batches we had to try. With love and determination, we experiment with different type of fish and different food. We acquired air pump, water filter, and thermostat. We ran down to the Pet’s shop with water samples for testing... All to no avail.

Look at these, they have been with us for quite a few months now. The water is straight from the tab and gets changed every day. They are so happy and hungry all the time. We couldn’t figure out why these fish have so much more life than those we had in Toronto.

Here is the thing. Sienna caught them through fishing. A park nearby circle a little corner of a swimming pool and leave those gold fish inside. At certain cost, they give you a fishing rod and dough bait. You can catch as many as you want with a time frame. Sienna is made to do the fishing, very patient, very determined. She caught a lot and we paid for a box to bring some of them home. Maybe the little fish bowl here is heaven to them compared with where they come from. They don’t have to risk their life to get food.
