Let's Build a Monument
It was a traditional holiday yesterday in China, when people do the boat racing and eat leaves-wrapped rice as a ritual to remember a legendary hero. Such holiday suddenly has a meaning to our family because the country starts to have the day off. That means Sienna had a three-day long weekend.
After the breakfast, Sienna opened a new toy package of magnetic Lego-like blocks. The husband joined in. I played on my all-inclusive iPhone. It was all quiet and productive family time until Sienna started to whine because she couldn't catch up with her Dad’s skill and the 60 chips were almost all gone into his architectural endeavors.
It just so happened that we got to go with our friends to a market place, a toy heaven in the afternoon. There I instantly spotted a package that has 400 (not 60, not 100) chips of the same type.
That's how the day was progressing and how a monument will be built.
