Armed, Still In Danger

I hate the mosquitoes in China so much because they like Sienna too much. We noticed the extreme attraction in our previous visit to my home town in south China. Sienna returned from her every trip with her skin covered by red spots all over. That was after the recovery. A single fresh bite could result in a huge swelling bump anywhere on her body. Now we are in Beijing and on the 10th floor. You thought it would not an issue. Wishful thinking. One very adventurous flying high mosquito is enough to cause the damage. Sienna got a bite on the upper lip and it became three times of its original thickness. Something in her reacts violently to the mosquito socking her blood. I don’t blame her. We have acquired almost all the anti-mosquito gears on the market. We have a “blue buzz” that generates the most annoying noise to the insects. We have “blue dot” patches that give out repellent smell. Still some managed to succeed. I am getting a taste of having a “bubble boy”. How could the parents manage it when the all the elements turn against their child? We have only the mosquito as our enemy.
