i found me my lost cousins

my mother's sister's daughter recently returned to live in the city. my mother's half brother's son, Alex, recently settled down to live in the city. today is set for a get-together of our three families.

i only met Alex and his wife for the first time when my mother was staying with us a few months ago. i grew up knowing though that my mother had another set of siblings. that made my grandfather, a nationally-known prolific writer, a very prolific father of at least 9 children. i think we, as his descendents, should take some advantage of his accomplishments in this regard.

i for one left home at the age of 17 and have been living on the other side of the world almost half of my life. family fun has been definitely missing from my daily activities. with two of my cousins around, fortunately and proudly, i could claim that i have families here in canada.

we had seafood potluck party today. i pledge that we keep in touch as we are families!
