Doing a Little Campaign

All right! Watch out! The most apolitical mother of all is out doing a campaign. This is the initial letter that I put together to get the ball rolling. Let's see how it will turn out to be.

"Dear Dr. & Mrs. XXX & Board of Directors,

We are parents of your preschool students attending at the YYY campus. We are writing this letter in order to bring to your immediate attention the traffic situation at AAA & BBB. You might have been notified by your staff and other parents that it's extremely difficult to turn in and out of AAA, when they come to work, drop off and/or pick up the kids. Although, to our knowledge, no accident has been reported, that corner is a dangerous place - an accident waiting to happen to one of the school children.

We have talked to a number of parents. They all agree that we all should urge the City Council to investigate the traffic at that intersection and make the necessary improvements. You can be assured that we would do everything possible to participate in such an effort. Perhaps you could submit a request on behalf of the parents and staff, either in the form of a letter or even a petition that we could all sign. Of course, we would also be willing to attend any meetings with the City Council to voice our concerns and suggestions.
