Hello World, Did You Hear It?

Browsing through the paper this morning, I caught a tiny article in an inconspicuous spot, "WHO warns of fatal bird flu". It says, "the bird flu virus endemic in Asia appears to be evolving in ways that increasingly favour the start of a deadly human influenza outbreak." According WHO, the situation may resemble that leading to the 1918 pandemic which killed more than 40 million people.

This is the 3rd time I came across the similar reports. BUT I don't hear any noise being made about this around the world. The political world is speculating Bush's 2nd term inaugural bash. The pop world is debating if Britney Spare is preg or if Sara Jessica Parker is. In IT world, it's about how bloggers like us have been making waves and how robots are going to serve us meals soon...

So deadly quiet about Bird Flu?! I hope this doesn't resemble the quietness before another tsunami strike, microscopically, with much-much-larger-than-tsunami type of might.

I admit that I am secretly scared!
