Super Nanny, Be Our Guest!

Yet another new reality show series, Super Nanny. This one I don't want to miss. It's on at 10:00 pm, so I cannot miss it.

The first episode is about a helpless couple dealing with their three daughters (a 4.5-year-old and a set of 3-year-old twins). The girls constantly fight with each other and throw temper tantrums at any given second of the day. Jo, the supper nanny with a British accent, moves in to intervene. Magically, the time-out-on-the-naughty-stoll method worked in a very short period of time...

The tough-love principle is identical to what we have been practising in our house. When people look at Sienna today, they tend to think that she was born this way. It's hard to imagine how she would have been if her tantrum didn't get tamed every time it surfaced. Abby once said to me, "You must have done something right." She is right. Apparently we don't need a super nanny like Jo. But we can invite her over to be our guest. What she practices and preaches is totally right on. I have been her fan, even before I watched her show.

  • hello, mrs tweety, i'm as eager to tell as i'm eager to hear.
i learn a lot by participating a "mother borad" posting.

meanwhile, please try this. go to babycenter.com and sign up with chloe's birthdate. you will be with a bunch of mothers who have kids born the same month as chloe. you will encounter the same problems around the same time. it's amazing. the saying goes, "it takes a village to raise a child." that board would be a special village.
