No Shot From PowerShot

A couple of weeks ago, our then prototype digital camera rested in peace after 4 1/2's year service. Just around the same time, I came across some beautiful photos on some web blogs that turn familiar day-to-day scenes to unique imageries. I was really inspired and itchy to take more photos of my own.

Only if I had a good camera... Only if I had the new camera... or only if I had a camera...

I was doing some research on the internet about a decent camera. Upon getting home last Friday, my hubby surprised me with a brand new Canon. It's a beautiful and "powerful" piece of machine! I jumped on it, carrying it on my shoulders everywhere, all weekend long, like a Japanese tourist.

But not a single good shot came out of this PowerShot! I even stumbled on taking a simple shot that I used to be so sure of. I had to come to a painful realization -- that I have no visual talent, what so ever. It's a blessing that I really appreciate beauty in it's various forms even I don't create them. Maybe that's a big reason that I am married to an artist and surround myself with all other talents!
