Planting Good Seeds

About two weeks ago, Sienna's teacher asked us to take to school one old shoe that she grew out with for an art craft. Sienna told me, now and then, mysteriously, that she was working on a present for me for the mother's day. Yesterday, the secret was revealed:


A plant with a little white bloom in a planter made of her old shoe and by herself! Honestly, it looks like a little dark ugly dough. But I was deeply impressed, considering the time and effort it took to complete the whole thing: the painting and the shoe planter, the planting, the watering, the bringing it home carefully....

Kudos to the teachers for planting good seeds in my darling little personality.
