A Moment of Sadness
The end of day yesterday, Sienna was seen crying quietly at a corner of her classroom when Daddy went in to pick her up... "Why?" The teacher said she couldn't leave unless she told her what was wrong. "I miss my mommy..." she answered.
I heard this and didn't want to take that as an answer. So I questioned her and I phoned her little friend Olivia for more questions... It looks like she was just caught sinking into her moment of emotions.
Sienna started nursery before she turned 2. After two days, the teachers said, she behaved like she had been there for 2 years. She doesn't hate school. She is learning stuff and playing very well with her peers. Her teacher calls her "a little assistant." But she never chose school over her own home. One of the things she looks forward to the most about growing up is that she doesn't have to go to school. I was like, "Honey, you haven't even started it..."
I understand her state of mine because I am like that. I accept where I am placed and what I am given. But I do have my preference if I have my choice.
