Box -- Inside And Out

One of Sienna's favourite things to do is to get things in and outside of a box or a bag that she can get hold of. She would put a small box inside a bigger bag. Or she would pick things out from a bag and move them into a box.

These are what I found in her pink ballerina box today: a star that shines in the dark, two "lucky quarters" (only the one with reindeer image on are considered lucky), a green chip, a pink teddy bear, a rock in the middle of turning into a crystal piece, a list on black sheet that Daddy helped her make with all her friends' names on it, a mini screw driver, a drinking straw, a plastic scrolled Minnie mouse picture, a Madeline figure cut...

Sienna doesn't move around much physically in the house. But her hands never stop moving, making and managing to accomplish something. She is a handy girl. While she tends to be precise and organized, sometimes she does jump out of the box doing something quite innovative... ...

For example, just inside this box, she stuffed small colourful beads into one end of the straw to make a project she called "rainbow". At the other end of the straw, she already placed a bigger bead to stop all the smaller beads from running through. Also she rolled up the mine mouse picture and put a ring outside, just like we would use a ring to hold a napkin on a formal dinner table. The screw driver had a different usage. As she couldn't find scissors, so she poked on a tape with the screw driver. Not a proper tool, but works perfectly. Today she learnt from her Mama how to roll a regular tape into a double tape so that it won't ruin the surface of a picture.
