Fairy Godmother Tale
We went with the Godmother Abby to this huge mall. Abby got herself some DVD titles and got Sienna Barbie In Rapanzel. The icecream place at the mall was closed. I promised Sienna would get her treat later. As soon as we were settled in at Golden Griddle for brunch, my princess declared, "I don't want anything, I just want icecream, chocalote ice cream!" With much admirationa nd appreciation, this is what the Godmother had to say to her. "Whoa, What a girl! Stick it up. I like you. You and I are so much alike. I want to take you home and raise you. You and I together, let's show them what girls are all about."
The Godmother happens to have a childhood close to a fairy tale. I am not sure if I heard this from her or a fairy tale. But this must have happened. When the Godmother was a little princess, she would say to her Dad, "I want to have bagels in Montreal." Her Dad would drive her in his very own private jet and they flew to have breakfast in that destination.
All the power to my princess and her fairy Godmother! Only I create no fairy tale. My job is to help her understand the difference between the reality and fairy tales. The ice cream could only come after some solid food in that case -- is how things work in the order of our reality. She seems to take to this reality very well as various kind of fairy tales.
