Happy Birthday, Canada!

Sienna has been in for a birthday craze. She has been saying, "Can I be 5 years old now? Can I have my birthday party?" I would say, "No, you cannot. You are not 5 until next year." Then she would go, "I know, I know. But I wish..." Well, today, Sienna got close to the celebration mood by saying "happy birthday" to Canada!

It gave us a reason to party at Rachel's house. We started around 3 o'clock in the afternoon, eating and drinking. At some point of time, Dad took Sienna and Rachel for firework shopping and got a load of goodies. We went to an elementary school yard around the corner when the dark descended. Before we finished ours, a car pulled in with a family of 4. They started their fireworks so that we could keep on watching theirs. Then another car pulled in with another family and another load of fireworks. We ended up spending quite sometime there. It became so chilly around 21c degree and windy. We had only summer gear on. I decided to stay inside the car while everybody wanted to be out. When they finally got in, Rachel commented, "you can watch it the same inside the car except it's not cold." I said, "You are smart, Rachel, but not as much as I am, in this case."
