Eating Right
Last night, we watched a bit of TLC reality show "Honey We're Killing the Kids." It was "Nanny 911" type of thing except it tackcles the cause of child obesity in America. An expert stays with a family to work out strategies that will uitimately overhal their bad eating habit. This time, on top of the list, it was "sack the sugar." In place of chocolate bars and candies, they are presented with fruit alternatives. I was falling asleep at one point where the kids were sent to an apple farm to see how the fruits are growing in the tree and are delicious to eat.
This morning, I woke up feeling so lucky. Sienna, when telling you what her favorite foods are, will definetely include green beans and cauliflowers etc. She would tell you that green vegies are good to make you poop go nice and easy. She has been brainwashed that way.
It has been one of the rare Saturday evening when we ate alone as a 3-member family. We had cauliflower, green beans and sole fillets. Sienna also ate rice wrapped in Korean roasted seaweeds sheets. It takes one day at a time. We must have been doing something right by showing her what is right things to eat.
