Tragedy 6 Degrees Apart

After three years, the exchange student charged in the death of little Cecilia Zhang made a surprise admission of guilt on the first day of his trial today. He said he went in to kidnap the 9-year-old with ransom in his mind but not murder. The girl was suffocated so she didn’t give out screams to wake up others in the house. That confession might help him to get a lesser sentence but didn’t prove his act any less of a crime.

We encounter so many crimes in the media everyday. Cecilia’s case happened so close to home. We were introduced to her parents at a concert after the incident through a mature friend. We see a boy every few days who was Cecilia’s classmate and neighbor. He had to go through a number of counseling sessions because of this. There are more things I don’t want to tell the internet in order to prove that the world is in fact only 6 degrees apart. It’s better be suspicious and vigilant about your environment.
