The Whole 19" Wide World
More or less, this describes the space my eyes are zoomed on, almost every waking hour.
When the husband got a new Pentium 4 last October, I reformatted his hand-me-down, also a Pentium 4, only with lower speed. I made it so much faster now for my own use. Side by side with this desk top PC on my study's desk, I also have the other hand-me-down, the Mac iBook. I stare on a screen for over 8 hours during the day at work. I come home, go through the evening time routine with Sienna and take turn to stare at these TWO screens! I have been trying to break the cycle like one tries to lose weight, cut sugar or quit smoking...
Just how? I've become a person who live on the internet basically. I don't feel like watching TV nowadays because it doesn't give me that kind of control that the internet gives. It doesn't have the interactive elements. Books are even more remote. I was not a book person to begin with. I was a book lover only when I was a little girl. I read very little muddling through over 11 years high education. When I pick up a book today, I have the habit of searching the key word... I am in search of a health club close by my house where I can go for a couple of hours' yoga after 9:30pm. I must find a way to move away from the www.
