It Takes a Village
I have been hanging out on a message board ever since Sienna was a little baby. It gathers mothers whose babies were all born in same month. We chitchat and share the joys and issues as our kids grow up together, virtually. I learn from their experiences and their mistakes.
I remember when it came to the time when we agreed that we needed to leave our kids sleep alone, we tried to encourage each other by emailing back and forth on the day of CIO (Cry it out) action was excuted. I used to check in there several times a day. I had less presence in the past year or two. But now I am glad that I went back there and found many familiar faces. I agree with the saying "it takes a village to raise a kid." This message board, which I call "Mother Board", is that very village.
