Martyr of the House

When Rachel came to stay for the weekend, she had a cold with a cough. I didn’t worry about if she would give it to the family. Because I knew if it ever happened, it would be me. And that’s exactly what happened.

I thought it was allergy of some sort and I just felt it was coming as the day progressed yesterday. In denial, I still tried to carry out as usual. I went to have lunch with the radio hostess who had me on her show for three times at the end of last year. We never got to know each when we got together for the shows. I knew we could get along very well because of our similar astrological set up. We talked a lot about our kids. I brought back the CDs containing two of the shows and forced myself to listen to it in the car when I drove. At night, I broiled cod fillets with yogurt for the family.

I started popping pills (herb Capsules) hoping the cold would go away. It isn’t. It doesn’t feel good. The only good thing is that it happened to me. I don’t ask why it’s always me because it’s better if the cold only bugs me, not anyone else in the house.

  • Min, take good care of yourself and drink more hot lemon tea. I've been happening to listen to my friends complaint about the "cold" they've caught lately. This is a "cold" season, I guess.
