Not a Selfish Fish

On our way to Olivia's house for a play date...

"You come with Mommy to get some chicken wings for lunch with your friends."
"Mommy, why don't you drop me off at their house, and you go to get the chicken wings."
"It's for you and your friends. You have to be part of it and come with me. Wouldn't it be selfish if you don't come?"
"Selfish is a bad word."
"Then you better do the right thing."

After our shopping stop-over...
"I am sorry I had to use the word 'selfish'."
"Nobody is selfish, Mommy. It's the shellfish, the fish in the shells."
