Glitches Don’t Have to Clash Things

Because of our habit of not having a firm plan about everything, things could appear to be quite chaotic at times.

For example, I realized in the middle of the night that we could try to get a climate controlled storage space. So I basically decided the place a few minutes before the movers truck pulled in the morning...

Less than an hour into the moving stuff, one of the movers got an emergency phone call and decided to drop out. The husband had the compassion to drive him to the subway. And half an hour later, he went to pick up another mover. At the end of the day, I paid those guys an extra hour of work without deduction of the time wasted waiting for the other mover to come. I could not stand looking at people working this kind of job for that kind of money.

As it this was not enough for a day. I called cleaning company and they told me they had double booked the appointment. Only 9 in the evening I got the confirmation that three cleaning ladies will come tomorrow.

On top of everything else, after we came back from a farewell party downtown, I discovered our washing machine’s dryer broke down. A replacement will have to be made before our banker tenant move in. How timely!
