Smooth, but Sad
The day started like any other day. I sent Sienna to school. The husband got a phone call and would have to be downtown for a lunch meeting with some people who are interested in his work. The cleaning and painting went on nicely together in the house. I gathered everything to go in the living room and started packing. I used to rely on the father then the husband to pack so that I could pack as much as a suitcase can contain. Assistance is no longer required. The airline has very limited weight allowance. Even when the suitcase is loose, it’s all ready over weight.
I sent Sienna’s teacher a letter as well as the office announcing the departure. After sending the workers away, the school was over. I sent Sienna to J’s house for a swimming play date. In between, I continued to pack the suitcase and the husband continued to collect remaining garbage to throw away.
Had our quick and the last dinner with Rachel’s family at a Korea restaurant. Sadness was all over. Rushing back home, A’s family were waiting. Sienna fell asleep. They each went in the room to see her and said goodbye. They left with a few bags of garbage to throw away. These are the thing they do to help define the terms like “friend” and “friendship.”
