Inspired by the Olympic Games

The husband was at the gate of an Olympic boxing match when our phone call reached him. Sienna shouted out, “Daddy, I can swim now!” Yep. She is so inspired these days. We went back to the club for two more classes. On the second class today, she lifted all the floating support and swimming quite standard breaststroke.

When Sienna was about to walk, I watched closely. Nothing happened. One day, my visiting friend came to the kitchen and said, “Why did you say she cannot walk? She is walking perfectly.” I turned around and found her doing just that. I missed her first steps. I was watching her from a glass wall the whole class today. Yet again, I missed her first movements on the water, totally unsupported. That’s after about 10 one-hour sessions. I ran back down to the pool to express my thanks to the instructor.

Meanwhile, Sienna wanted to take on badminton. Immediately I found an instructor on the net. We went for two lessons already. She vowed to beat her daddy very soon. Also I am sending her to a roller skating lesson. It’s all about sports this month. I have to seize the moments like this to get her interested in sports. She usually couldn’t care less about any physical activities.
