that 1% of sienna

for over 10 years or so, every New Year's eve, we have been invited for a party at a writer friend's house. he is a well-known literature figure in the city, a son of canada's leading author. there is even a bridge in the city that is named after his father.

anyways, his wife called to discuss the party tomorrow. we were talking about how fast and well sienna has been growing. and i asked if we could bring her long this year to show her off to the crowd. "she would have no problem," i said confidently.

sienna just had a great play date with Olivia over at our house. she approached me with a piece of folded paper. i drew a pantagon star on there as i understood that was what she normally wanted me to do. sienna however screamed her head off -- this time, she wanted me to write the name "Olivia" on the card she made for her. i ruined the house she drew that was completed with a roof, chimney, door and windows...

i always say sienna is 99% of an angel. while i was still on the phone "selling" my angel, the 1% of her flipped. talk about bad timing!
