Daddy's Girl Cried
Daddy and I agree that Sienna usually doesn't cry like a poor little thing. With a few drops of tears, she yells, demands and complains.
Well, this weekend, she cried. First she didn't want to put on her jacket after the ballet. Everyone was surprised to see her act like that. She told the teacher that her Dad was taking an air plane. She said she didn't want me. She wanted Daddy, who was not there. So she cried, never so helplessly.
Then when we came back from the long car ride, she found her Daddy still missing. The tears were just rolling down her cheeks. It made me teary. She just kept saying, "I miss my Daddy. I want Daddy back." I said, "He will be back tomorrow." "No, I want him back today... I want him back now..."
In the evening, Daddy called. I handed her the phone. "I miss you, Daddy!" were the first words from her mouth. Then she pulled the kitchen door open, went outside with the phone, closed the door behind her for some priviate conversations with Daddy. When he hang up, she came in crying and started to punch the keypad to dial back. "No 911 dialing," I joked, unfittingly in the atmosphere. She almost made Raymond drop the tears in his eyes. Olivia's mom said she was ok when her Dad went away for a few days.
Anyway. So much for the fiasco of Daddy's being away. I don't even want to try my luck. I will stick around for you, babe, forever and ever!
