Patience is Gold

Last night. After dinner. I was doing dishes. Sienna kept bugging me for her seaweed snack.

"Sienna, I heard you. You must be patient. Do you know what 'be patient' means? " I asked, not really expecting an answer.

"Be smart and wait," she replied though, without hesitation,

"That's right. Please be patient!"

Coming to work this morning. My colleague told me her 14-year-old daughter pressed her to buy the channel earrings and stuff. She is an ambitious girl who wants to become a doctor. So I said to my colleague, "Ask your daughter to be patient. Tell her to become a doctor first, then she can get anything she wants."
