Concert Night
As a mother of a 4-year-old attending pre-school, an after-school concert she attends become one of the biggest events of my life now a days. We have been talking about it for about 2 months. Finally it took place yesterday. I picked up the dress and the matching hair ribbon days before. We had to bring her back one hour earlier to get her fed and dressed. And we showed up back at the school with her right on time 6:15pm.
Sienna was really excited about her dress, more than the concert. "Wow, I am going to be famous!" Whatever "famous" means to her. She went to each of the 3 teachers in her classroom and showed her dress under her jacket just to get them "wowed."
About 30 kids crowded the stage in one line. Off the stage and in front of it, Ms Ahmed squated low and gave her class the hints necessary for all the moves. They sang songs like "the Color Song," "Loobie Loo" and a French one. So cute and so out of tunes (compared to what Sienna sang to me before). I was busy taking video and pictures all the time. Didn't really see the whole picture. Luckily, Sienna got to stand at the edge on the left. That just made my job easier. To me, picture taking was the most important part of this most important event anyways.
