A Place I Adventured For

I don't see myself as an adventurous soul even though I have done a few things in my life that might appear to be quite adventurous to others. In fact, I have very strong resistance towards adventures of any sort. When I finally go ahead to do something, the required courage would have become part of my skin. Having the right motivation is crucial for the gathering of the courage. The motivation doesn't have to be a big dream of accomplishing something. It has to be right...

I met this artist M in New York earlier this month. She observes her immediate environment and presents them in photos and prints. Her works are beautiful and quite: the house, vase, flower peddles and hen... You could even get a smell of the morning toast from them. No big statement to make -- just a reality that lives in the heart of us all no matter we are aware or not. I realized to get close to the reality that is represented in her art was the motivation that brought me to North America in the first place.

M lives with her husband and two young boys in a typical & idyllic small town America on the east coast. Her web site is still under construction. But here is an image.
