That Shocking Golden Apple

Once upon a time, our artist Daddy was working on this painting when I walked into his studio to run an errand for my internship. Having never seen anything like this before and being shocked by the effect, I walked straight through the room and exited to the balcony at the other end. He was surprised with joy that the girl he had already noticed suddenly landed without a notice. That was how everything started...

We got married soon afterwards and had probably 6 wedding gatherings visiting families and relatives from city to city. That painting went for the country’s First Avant Garde Show at the National Art Gallery. Somebody very far-sighted took it for a sum worth a little more than a hundred Canadian dollars.

Today, we discovered that very painting has been listed for a spring sale in a major auction house in China. Daddy paints for quite a good living in a different world so far away from home for so long. What a nice surprise to see that particular painting even has a price tag. When sizzling Asian art market is calling upon, it brings back the sweetest memories and points to a very promising future. Now, let what shocked me shock the people a little bit more, just for the fun of it.
