Home, HomeDepot

This was how our day unfolded yesterday. First of all, the husband was on Bravo TV for half an hour talking about his art and his life. He appeared to be extremely talented, yet honest, sincere and almost humbled. That was the general impressions that our friends called to express afterwards. I particularly like the part where he talked about humor. The crew did a great job putting it all together.

For another thing, the first piece that was taken by someone unknown to the auction got sold to someone unknown for an incredible price. I was scrapping the washroom when the news came from a friend. I continued to scrap the washroom afterwards. I don't know how this is going to affect us. What's immediate for me was a visit today from a friend of mine, whom I met on the internet but never in person. I was cleaning up the house till midnight to prepare for her arrival.

Another thing made me really happy was the replacement of the two annoying outdoor lanterns. Since the worker came to finish the job of setting up the hose system, we asked him to also help with wiring the outdoor lights. I rushed to HomeDepot to get anything I could find. The biggest problem I had with our old lights, or basically any popular lights, is that the light would come through the glass and shine on your eyes, from far and near like mini light houses everywhere. Look at what we got now. They are like the desk lamps with shades and the oil-rubbed bronze finish is just the right style for us especially when it's weatherred more. The light only shines on the spot below. It's warm and private.

There was only one left at the first location, I grabbed it and came home. The husband loved it as much I did. I called other locations to check on the other lantern. "Whom am I speaking with? Oh, Joe, please do me a favor. Hold that one for me for at least an hour. It's going to enhance the appearance of my house. I must have it, today." Then I dashed out and grabbed it.

On the left, it shows something similar to what we originally had and you will see everywhere. On the right, it shows what we have now.
