Donkey, You Don't!

The whole family love Shriek movies. We went to see the movies together. We possess the DVD versions and their sound track CDs. One of the first few songs that went into Sienna's iPod are from Shriek's. Lui and I both think it's the highest point of today's animation works, where companies like Disney World are too established to reach for.

Someone said in front of me today, "Shriek is not for small kids." Why? He explained, "Full of bad language. The donkey spits, and my 3 year old started to follow him and spit..." Donkey in the movie is my favorite character. I love his every words and every movements. Did I even miss his cute spitting part?

The next came to my mind is how this gentleman's little girl is going to miss out quite a few good things in life, that usually come in an organic package with not so good things. Sure, in no time, she will drop her cute little spitting act. She will only get what is chewed on by the father and deemed right and decent. One day when the girl is old enough and wants something juicy, she is going to really spit it all out. I can clearly see a typical sequence of events, a possibly very bad case of rebellion in brewing.
