Taking Turns

J's mom and I have formed a little support system, taking turns to take our kids for activities. One of the things we do is going to see the one-hour show at a mid town children's theater. Today it was my turn. The show was the classic Goldilocks & Three Bears with a modern twist. When Goldilocks wandered in the forest and into a bears' house, she didn't get frightened. She actually talked to the bears and made friends with them. The meaning of the show is to show that our children have super natural power, i.e., in this case, understanding the animals, that we adults got lost along the way of growing up. Yeah, right! Some adults help a great deal with that kind of power. That's why our children get presents from that old red/white guy in north pole and we adults don't... Content aside, I cannot say enough good things about this kind of shows. It feels like a theater as well as a classroom. The two kids loved it. Sienna raised her hand so high. She got one chance to go upstage to dance with the characters. And at the end of the show, she was picked again to talk about how she liked the whole show. Afterwards, I left Sienna with J and his mom so that I could run some errands. It is a good set up.
