Family Day

I started my Saturday routine by driving Sienna to the piano lesson. This is the irony. We went there armed with the brand new iPod and it’s recording accessory. I turned it on to find the battery run out!

Afterwards, I sent Sienna to Olivia’s house for a play date and the exchange of their Christmas gifts. I got Olivia a PJ, the same set I got for other 4 girls on different occasions including Sienna. I went away for a couple of hours getting two floor lamps for my two cousins. I dropped off two florescent light bulbs at home for Lui and drove back to Olivia’s house. While kids were playing, we were watching a DVD movie about how robots turned against us people. Then we came home getting ready for dinner with my two cousins families. I probably have about 20 cousins from my mother side of the family. Three of us now live in the same city away from home. Now the part of the clan is expanding. The youngest couple are expecting their baby in April.

Something happened while we were waiting for our guests to come, a police car parked on the side of our house with the flash on. Curious, I went to ask two officers, “Anything I need to know?” I was told to get back the house. They were looking for a guy with a loose dog. Certain parts of the sides street were blocked here and there by four police cars. It took us 10 minutes to reach the restaurant that would take 3 minutes usually. All was quiet when we came back home. Did they catch the guy they wanted? I was more concerned about safety of the police officer than our own. With the light flashing on top of their cars, the police officers were apparently the bigger target than the bad guy.
