A Big Gift With a Little Guilt

The good thing about the Christmas is that we get to spoil our kids with a good reason. A couple of weeks ago, I got a 30G video iPod ready to give it to Sienna. Daddy is the one who has been wanting to give something like for her for over a year now. This way, she could sit in the back seat of the car and handling her own music listening habit. I also got a recording device that can be attached to it for her piano lesson. She had a a so-called mp4 player from China and the joy stick soon broke. With all the practical consideration, still I felt a bit guilty by giving her this little big gadget. So we kind of downplayed the value, “alright, this is what mommy and daddy gave you. Take it.” Until today, she went, “can I have my iPod?” Then the big sister was like, “what, an iPod for a not even 6 year old!?” Sienna said, “now the whole family have apples.” yeah, here is an apple spoiled rotten. She also got a Martel’s Pixel Girl Nintendo kind of game from Rachel and a telescope that is supposed to see the Venus. I showed Rachel with a series of products from the famous Emily the Strange web site. Yiga and I intended, unrealistically, to go out and join the boxing day craze with three girls with us. Sienna was not so cooperative. We ended up feeding them Chinese food and came home. I did get myself what looked like the most comfortable pair of shoes ever.
