A Party That Lasted For A Day

I thought the party was sometime in the afternoon. I was about to check the time, my old classmate from university year phoned and said the party already started. They were expecting us to go and join them for lunch. And I was secretly complaining about too many parties, this one was said to be lasting for the whole day! I haven’t seen this classmate V for what seemed to be a few decades. My other classmate B ran into her in this city of 5 million people while she came to visit in October. It’s a miracle! I didn’t get to see V until today. No extra drama, no poetry. It was like another play date for Sienna. They happen to have son 6 months younger than Sienna. They also had other family friends’ in the house. I admit I was sleepy because I didn’t find the moments when I could talk using my usual voice or laugh out loud. Sienna had fun. She even tried to put on a show and sang a song in front of the audience.
