Raising My Child in the Village

It feels like a holiday to me. Sienna started going to the camp after some 6 consecutive days of relying on me to fill up her days with activities and snacks. I guarantee this: at her age, we will be so disfunctional if she spends the whole summer at home with me.

Meanwhile, I have reduced myself to the role of a driver when it comes to her piano practice. I will pay our dear friend, the piano teacher to give her practice every day. She has some extra time slots when some kids are away for the summer. What she offers to do is still priceless. She will get Sienna on the track and take it up one big notch. Sienna is loving it, compared to how much she hated it with me. And the improvement is instant and drastic.

You can blame me if I am lazy. I am not. You cannot blame me because I am inadequate. I don't like myself being a police constantly stopping my daughter from eating snacks. I cannot give Sienna any valuable sugguestions when it comes to piano practice... But I am good at knowing what's good for her and what she is good at. It takes a village to raise a child. I know how, whom, where and when to look for the help.
