An Unexpected Visit
Ever since I left home when I was 17, home coming has never been easy. I heard people saying “we drove to my parents’last night.” I wanted to know how that feels like. So yesterday I bought plane tickets to experience the “dropping by” feeling. Last night, Mom and Dad called on my cell phone on their way to the airport from another city where they had a vacation. Asked if we were coming home, I said, “Oh, we can come any time now, right.” They didn’t think it would be today.
This morning, three of us went to the airport together. Sienna and I took a flight to come to my hometown in the south. The husband got in a chartered taxi to his hometown in a nearby city. Dad saw Sienna showed up in the garden and wondered who. Just like that, we came in unexpectedly. And they could expect us do this quite often since now we are now living 2.5 hours’ flight away. Making unexpected visits is my specialty.
