Summer’s Thunderstorm in the Winter
On our way back yesterday afternoon, I talked to the Mom of Sienna’s classmate who got sick for several days having high fever. I looked at Sienna thinking maybe I should take some preventive measurements so that she could skip a possible flu or cold. Too late. A couple of hours later, Sienna started feeling feverish.
This morning, she was ok. But I didn’t let her go to school. In the afternoon, her temperature reached over 39 degrees Celsius. I kept telling her how important it was to drink a bucket worth of water. I asked the nanny downstairs who happened to be in the supermarket to go to the drugstore and ask for the most popular child fever. Within 30 minutes after she took it around 5pm, the fever came down to normal and never came back since then. Quick come, quick gone, just like a summer’s thunderstorm.
