“They Have Lion, We have Monkey"

This is the similar idea behind many things Chinese have been doing in the past two or three decades. When they do it, they try to do bigger and better. The show “Monkey King,” for example, is undoubtedly an imitation of “Lion King,” except it uses more cast members than the audience. It creates a real pond on stage with the water splashing all over the stage... ... The result might not be better as usually the case. Yet I don't tend to judge things as being good or bad. I could feel the energy coming out of this process of imitating when I took Siena to see the show with our neighbors today.
