Good Appetite for a Sick Stomach
Every day there is something new. One day Sienna had her real tummy ache. The next day, she was suspected to have her first diarrhea. I said "suspect" because the teacher told Daddy that she went to the bathroom for 6 times. But we never really saw her loose poop. She never had another one since she came back from the school. She had her normal familiar poop yesterday, once. I would really want to see her loose poop. She always had the opposite problems to worry about...
Anyways, when I came home last night, she was lying in bed and my heart sank. She complained again of her tummy ache. I decided to take a day off because I expected that she might start to run a fever today. So far, we are lucky. Last night was ok. She woke up once around 4:30am hungry. I gave her whole wheat dry toast. She ate two slices! She spent the whole day today asking for food. It's definitely a good sign. But it was not easy to deal with. Certain things we just couldn't give her. In the morning, she wanted cheese and macaroni. I gave in and let her have it. Then she asked for noodle. When the noodle was ready, she started to complain about the stomach again. Then she ate two bottle of drinkable yogurt, a handful of green beans and a whole bowl of soup for dinner... Milk is her life. I had to diluted and she had quite a lot. Not good at all. The good thing is she held a sippy cup drinking her water. I never had to worry about her being dehydrated.
We had a long nap in the afternoon, the rest of the day we watched TV. With a sick kid, you could not have asked for a better day.
