A Model Student

Sombody was asking about Montessori methodology. I put down some of Sienna's personality traits and behaviours. I don't know these are due to Montessori education or to her very own nature, which, in any case, seem to fit each other well.

1) She is very aware of the her environment. Knows how to take care of the needs of herself and others at the same time.

2) She has an attention span of an average adult. She begins something; she finishes it. She will clean up after play. And will do this very well with a little reminder.

3) She follows rules and schedules naturally.

4) Socially, she used to be a bit on the shy side. Now she approaches new kids on the playground and she initiates play and activities among a group.

5) She can read simple stories books. Knows many many words.

6) She does simple addition and subtraction.

7) she writes her name and any words in cursive
